Sound Level Meter is in the 4th set of the Smart Tools collection (noise).SPL(sound pressure level) meter app uses your phone mic to measure noise volume in decibels(db), and shows a reference.
REMEMBER!! The smart phone microphones were aligned to human voice (300-3400Hz, 40-60dB). Therefore the maximum values are LIMITED by the manufacturers and the very loud sound(100+ db) cannot be recognized. Moto Droid(max.100), Galaxy S3(81dB), Galaxy Note(91dB), Galaxy S2(98dB)...
See the 4-5nd pictures. I had calibrated many android devices with the actual sound level meter with dB(A). So you can trust it in routine-noise levels(40-70dB). Please use it as an auxiliary tool.

Around Sound Pro allows you to listen to music, watch movies and play games while still being aware of your surroundings.

?What it does:
Pro Street Mode:?
+Walk down the street and only hear the noises above the set trigger level. Never interrupts your music.
For Games: Non-pause should work well. Request support for Around Sound's Pause Mode from your favorite game's developer.
Pause Mode:?

?Simply start the app, push Start, see the noise level around you, set the trigger level by using your finger to swipe the meter, hit the home button to access your music app and enjoy.
